Hi, I'm Tierna - the Lago Vista Lice Lady.

A few years ago, my own daughter came home with a severe lice infesation. Don't feel bad - I thought she had dandruff at first and gave her a bottle of over the counter dandruff shampoo telling her to make sure she scrubbed her scalp. There's no way MY kid has lice, right? Wrong.

She has really thick, really long, luxurious hair. What I now know should have been a simple fix, turned into days of frustration filled with mayonnaise, OTC lice treatments, concoctions of essential oils and mouth wash I called "potions", hundreds of dollars spent on any gadget advertising a solution (no matter how bad reviewed...I had to be the exception!), many hours spent arguing, laundry, vacuuming, "Should we fumigate?" If you're here, you know what I mean. I remember just wishing someone could walk in, take care of it, and tell me it was going to be ok. At that point, max out my credit cards, pull out a second mortgage...I didn't care, just make this go away. I don't want to stay up all night arguing with my child, dig through her hair any moment she was in front of me, make another late night run to the store because I found something...I just wanted a good night's sleep and to have a normal day where my child wasn't worried someone would "know" and that I wouldn't find something in her hair. I wanted to tuck her in after a normal shower, say our prayers, and go relax in my own bed without THIS worry.

That experience changed the direction of my life. I never thought I would be so passionate about, of all things, head lice. After leaving my corporate career, I made it my mission to be that person for other families - someone who shows up, knows exactly what to do, and handles it with care and zero judgment.

Since then, I've lost count, but have helped more than 200 individuals and families. Every single one, with zero callbacks. In addition, I've provided assitance to group and foster homes with lice identification, education and treatment.
